Reading Glasses Glossary

Reading Glasses explainedA.  Frame - Front piece surrounding the eyes into which the lenses are fitted.

B.  Temples - These are the side pieces, the arms of the reading glasses that are placed over the ears to hold the glasses in place.

C.  Bridge - This is the middle of the frame that sits on your nose.

D.  Lens - The lens is the part of the reading glasses that you look through. The plural of lens is lenses. Our lenses are aspheric (slightly curved) to erradicate distortion. The magnification of reading glass lenses ranges from 1.0 to 3.0.

E.  Tips - Some of our reading glasses have metal temples with a plastic or rubber tip towards the back of your ear.
